Your guess is as good as anyone else. I'm sure the company is being very careful to avoid secondary displacements, and I think I'm ok, but I've updated my displacement bid just in case. Lots of senior peeps up in the MSP.

Right now, there are 1,000 MD-88 crews. They want 750 by fall of 2018 and they want to close MSP as an 88 base. My guess is 250 captains displacements in MSP. Most of those are pretty senior. I doubt they would commute to ATL to fly the same plane. If they are going to commute, they might as well commute to a better paying plane.
The real question is what other A positions will be posted. If they add 250 A positions in MSP, the damage will be contained. If they spread the new A positions over other bases then it gets complicated.

Of those 190 only about 130 can hold another Capt seat in MSP.
The real losers in MSP are guys who didn’t want to fly the 88 or be bottom feeder on the 737/320 will most likely end up blocked on any added captain seats to MSP by displacements. The big lynch pin is if the 717 base opens in MSP. Every week it’s a different answer.

[QUOTE=SideSticker;2565867]I believe the memo said 20 aircraft at 5 crews per ship equals 100 crews.
if Msp is hit hard by this without adding an equal number of 737/320 jobs, expect significant churn.[/QUOTE
Domestic is normally staffed about 7 crews per airframe so the actual numbers will be higher.
