I think they are shutting down the 88 training in LAS in May.

The green slips have all dried up, take away those LCA trip buys and I see FOs moving onto other AC. Which then creates need for newhire fills, green slips, and LCA buy offs.....it's a vicious circle!

I've heard the 88 will soon be relegated to a 500nm airplane. They're gonna suck the little bit of fun out of it on it's way out.

Makes sense since they’ll be transitioning the flying to other fleets.

500 nm limit was confirmed to me by multiple sources. Starting this June.

Heard there will be about 40 m88a displacements in ATL. No idea about MSP.

Any thoughts on the timing of training on this A/E? Are they really planning on these displaced pilots (me most likely included) going to the school house in the summer?
