Umm... I thot tiny % waz you wer complaining about?

Like i said. What you suggest it to put the larger group at a disadvantage to fix a problem with a 'tiny' group.

Btw. Membership in that tiny group is not static.

Simplest fix? Eliminate pbs bid preference for LCA employee #s.

How many people in that category couldn't drop a single trip because of reserve coverage? How many Pilots with five people below them should have had 15 or 20?

I'm not sure it is one-to-one, but let's not forget that someone is paying a price on the other side of almost every good deal.

You are flat out wrong. I have seen 13,000 seniority getting there 2nd GS.
The company will keep the pilot group short, with all the retirements coming.
If we change the GS language we will regret it.

So leave GS language as is (except trip buys are treated like vacation so no GS on top of those) and enhance staffing requirement language that benefits everyone.

Not like vacation but like a trip so it would be GSWC or IAWC. That would make sense and be equivalent to them actually doing the trip.

Actually that does make sense and seems very fair.

Or.

Learn the rules and use your seniority where it's most effective and don't use negotiating capital to negotiate away good deals.

If there's a junior guy getting his fifth GS, that could have been you. Figure out what he is doing right and what you are doing wrong.
