Zero chance that happens. Whatever "all employees" offer they come up with, regardless of PWA/Bargaining Agent issues, there is no chance it'll be so lucrative that 2000 pilots take it. I doubt even 500, and likely less than that. For any large number to take it, it will have to be pilot specific. Liquidation is preferrable to a FA union. Or something.

I dont think thats the logic at all.
The shared rewards are uniformly paid. To all pilots. All employees.
there has been no proffer of compensation incentives for early retirement. So this is all a non issue.
But IF the company offered a package outside of the pwa, uniformly to ALL employees as with shared rewards precedent i think that horse has left the barn.
And if such an offer precipitated 2000 pilots to take the offer.....any mec that grieved such an event wud be recalled in a NY minit.

Agree to disagree. A retirement program not in the pwa could absolutely be grieved and I would expect an easy win for ALPA. It’s not even in the same universe as a monthly $100 check. Whether that is a good move or not is a different story.

So my example is only illustrating the point. This is a non issue cuz its a complete hypothetical.
We have historical precedent around here for unimagined events not covered by existing pwa language.
Like letting pilots retire....and then keep working.

Retired pilots working under the pwa is covered in loa6.
If you don’t believe me that this would be a violation, call your rep or the ALPA office and see what they say.

And it wasnt a memrat approved concession. It would have been a close vote imho. It was also extended when mgmt needed it to be.
mgmt is free to drop any package on the table they want. If its a crappy deal nobody takes it. If its a windfall its gona be hilarious to watch a mec fight to take that dream offer away from 60+ yr old line pilots
Its no stretch for me to imagine a unilateral offer plan that is targeted at prexisting morbidity covid vulnerable pilots

Not Cog16 but I'll give it a try (regarding proactive engagement)
How about....get crew resources to run daily mock bids up until bid closing ( ala UAL). This MOAD bid is novel and although there are some potential "gaming" pitfalls associated with a mock bid, it would be better than the, "Oh shiznit, How the eff did that happen" which I envision being said by some after this bid.

They already do this, they just don’t publish it for the pilots
