35 Large RJs coming back?
#1251
Because if they win, they get scope for nothing (a flow down that will never be used).
They know they’ll need the lift eventually. We’ve also made it abundantly clear: Scope is not for sale. This is their cheapest option. They lose, they are back to where they were last month. They win though…
If they lose and try to negotiate, they know a TA that increases RJ flying by even 1 jet is DOA.
I’ll say it again for the folks in the back, Scope is not for sale.

Basically what Wolf said. They seem to take any opportunity to try and erode the PWA and this is just another example of that. They don't seem too worried about effects on pilot morale or the vaunted "Delta Difference."

LOA should have been redacted the day Compass went out of business. Hopefully this gets killed and we order more mainline planes after they rule in our favor, which I believe happens anyways.

The large RJs are the economic bridge for the 50 seat market. 110 seats may be too great a leap so 76 is the fix. That's fine, I'd fly a 76 seat jet for the right pay and schedule. The entire business plan has been about efficiencies via up gauging, judging from this month the old business plan (pre-pandemic) is alive and well.

I still haven't seen a good costing of efficiencies if there is no redundant company or DCI. When they want to justify a merger or integrate a JV, they call it synergies. The right schedule would mean I'm uber-senior and 1 or 2 day trips. It's just another aircraft/fleet type. Put 0 seats in it and haul cargo, I don't really care what's behind the door. And that goes for all our aircraft/fleets.
