Dude, blue on blue! I知 not talking about you. I知 talking about whoever put together the conversion forecast.

FWIW, I like you and hope we can have beers at a NJC or something in the future.

Aircraft and base are paired together, ex "NYC320" "ATL320" You list your preference order of those pairs offered. My class had 8 options.

Now...don't get me going on reinstatements. ALPA completely and utterly dropped the ball on that gem.
Does the training requirement consider short courses and such? If two pilots were both awarded A330B and one is coming from A320B (short course) and the senior pilot is coming from 73NB, (full course) do the seniority rules apply?

Ok, so I checked the Conversion List for Jan. It shows a bunch of pilots junior to me converting on 31JAN to the category I was awarded on the last AE.

My question is, what else do I have to do? I'm assuming they won't just do it correctly. I can't believe I have to ask this, but does being on the Conversion List actually mean you'll be converted? I thought I'd heard of multiple people not actually being converted/having training pushed back, etc. Do I need to email someone after 31JAN and say 'I should be pay protected'?

as far as I can tell yes the seniority rules apply. Only differentiation I can see is training and no training. In your scenario those two would have to train in seniority order (or be pay protected).

You should be pay protected as long as you didn't select "convert after junior." The delays you reference are likely adjustments to the projected training letters...which have proven themselves to be relatively worthless.

I'd just hang out for a month and see how your pay shakes out. It'll all work itself out in the end and you'll save yourself and someone on the other end headaches getting worked up well before the paychecks that cover January come out.
