As a 7ER pilot commuting from SLC, bid 320/73N/220 and just wait to bid to SLC on an AE. It won't be a long wait and certainly you will not get to SLC any faster bidding something not in SLC (717/7ER) and trying to use the 1 year seat lock release rule. You'll get to slc even later with a longer seat lock on airplane #2 and be gone longer with all the training. Keep it simple. Don't over think it.
Okay sounds like sound advice - is the 737/320/220 pretty similar in seniority in SLC? I’d imagine the 220 is the most junior

Widgetseniority has all the answers. Google it. If you have an employee number and no equipment assigned yet, it’s free. They are pretty even seniority.

Class size varies each week, but the goal is 200/month.

Jan they hit 205.

The training pipeline is getting pretty clogged though, my friend in the first Feb class is waiting until April to start sims *gasp* (on the ER (in Atlanta no less))

Doesn’t sound like too much of a change. Most of my class was 5-8 weeks between indoc and sims. And now I’m a month post sims still waiting to finish OE on the 717.

Sounds like nothing's changed. Took me six MONTHS (Yes, that's six months on training pay. Yikes!) from indoc to fully qualified on the ER. No hold ups or do-overs. And that was in 2015!

Is there much of a wait for the 737 these days?
