New Hire Class Drops

But giving up DL PWA protection and significant leverage for pilots not currently on DL's seniority list? No, sorry. But absolutely no. That currency is reserved for use by DL pilots.
It's an academic point, and meaningless in the real world anyway. Besides, the idea of the company trying to extract something of value from us to 'take care of' furloughed/distressed pilots is disgraceful, IMO.

I appreciate the intent here, and I 100% support hiring every single NK furloughee, and giving preferential treatment for any NK pilot. ALPA should work tirelessly to ensure fellow ALPA members are taken care of whenever possible.

I'm all for doing whatever we can to help out the NK folks. And I agree, that if the company wants us to give something up, then I'd be against it too.
You telling me what I posted about that earlier being disgraceful (that's how I read your post), I strongly disagree with that statement. Now if you meant that solely directed at the company doing so, then I will stand corrected. And would vehemently agree with you that it would be very low class for them to come back to our MEC, trying to help out NK pilots, with some concession for that.

No, either I worded it poorly, or you misinterpreted me. Regardless, I was directing that idea purely at the company, not at any pilot. To use your wording, it would be low class for the company to seek a concession before helping out NK pilots. I would seriously hope they wouldn't stoop so low.
