Ease is relative to your seniority and particular staffing. As said above, if coverage is good, you're free to drop to zero, though you don't always need total coverage. If staffing isn't as good, you have to get creative, but it can still be done through a mechanism of swapping trips across months. Worst case, swapping to shorter/more desirable trips within the month. With enough patience, you can normally make it happen.

If you can hold a line, then generally yes. But as described above, it will probably take some secondary techniques. You can sometimes “give away” trips to pilots on a swap board. Or more likely, use “Bad coverage/worse coverage”, where you drop a trip (or multiple trips) next week/month by swapping into a close-in trip where the “reserves available” differential is ‘worse’ than the differential(s) later.

Was just told by a friend that they have one class of about 20 currently going on or just finished. Any drop info?

That’ll be news to a lot of us…I’m not so sure that’s true.

You were told wrong. We haven’t had a class since March.

CJO holders were told background checks were resuming soon, so it’s coming. Very likely no NH classes until at least January.

The Endeavor classes have a 3 month holdback. So the January, February, and March flows had their classes in April, May, and June. Maybe the pilot was talking about the June Endeavor flow class as the tail end of the class may still be in their 400s or on OE and didn't realize they have been on the seniority list since March?

We had a class of 20 around the May timeframe. Alpa posted the picture and stats. All flows.

Yes, but just remember those pilots were already "hired" onto the seniority list in February or March since they were held back 90 days. Thats why the last page of the seniority list only shows 25Mar2025 class dates.
