Cool Interview Expectations

Hey everyone,

I got the interview invitation today. 4 Mar interview. Was wondering what to expect for the “new” interview process. It says there’s a MMPI test and a follow up with the shrink. But is the HR portion like other major interviews? TMAAT, some technical questions etc? Any info is appreciated!

Default Negative Covid Test required to interview

Got an email saying I need to provide a negative Covid test when I show up for my interview next week. “The test should be taken within 24 hours of your interview date. The test can be either a Rapid Antigen Test or a Rapid Molecular. You can take a picture / screenshot of your official results. Upon arrival you will be asked to share your results with one of our Pilot Selection Staff Members.”

24 hours before my interview is my travel day, does this mean I need to get tested before my flight down same day or do you think I can get tested the day before my flight?

Bonus points if anyone knows of testing location near ATL that I could go after arriving.

The MMPI is a 570 question test that you can’t really study for. Best advice I got was to tell the truth and to answer questions based on the idea that everyone is generally decent. It was long but a low stress event. The interview is fairly typical; TMAAT, some scenario based questions, and the usual airline interview stuff. It was relatively laid back and conversation. Nothing technical in my interview. I was in the group that did the panel interview first and was out the door by 2:30. Best of luck.

That’s exactly what I was looking for, thanks!

There’s a Facebook Group called RSTDelta and you can request from there to join a WhatsApp group that will be the folks that are interviewing the same day as you. Good luck!

If you can find an at home test they will accept that. Just do the test at your hotel and take a picture of the results on your phone. Has to be done the day before the interview so if you have an early flight in it can be difficult. You can get one in the airport but its $250. If you get a rental there are a couple places around that do drive up testing but most require an appointment. There is a testing center at the Park N Fly which is near the airport. Most were charging around $130 for a rapid antigen.

Also wondering about the covid test before the interview. I have an at home test (which are very hard to find right now so order one ASAP) so I just want to verify I can just take a picture of the actual test result saying it’s negative and we don’t need official paperwork from a lab? Additionally, they say no electronic devices at all while on property, I guess they just make a quick exception? Or should I print that picture out ?

Yes at home tests are accepted. Just do the test the day before a take a picture on your phone. They'll take you into a conference room to gather all the required items and ask to see your negative Covid test. After this they will have you turn off all electronic devices, secure them in a bag, and leave the bag in a storage area.
