Hey guys I am a regional FO with 1000 TSIC and 2600 TT. I passed the AON and have an interview scheduled for early July. With the unfortunate news of what happened with spirit. Is there a chance of my odds of being selected slimmer now with all the spirit guys and gals losing their jobs now. If that’s the case I would completely understand because I am fortunate enough to still have job with the current times. I hope all the spirit folks can land on their feet!

If you have an interview, the job is yours to lose. Always has been, probably always will be.

Wouldn’t imagine you’d be affected if your interview is already scheduled. Once they bring you in, their goal is to hire you. Huge waste of time and resources to interview people and not hire them. They’d rather hire you.

Sometimes it doesn’t work out, but most of the time it does.

You have excellent timing. They want to hire you! I highly recommend paying for an interview prep service. Good luck!

Youll be fine, study and don’t screw the interview. Now the RJ guys with your experience might have a though time to get interview in the next couple of months while the Spirit pilots gets preferential interviews a DAL/UAL, I believe AA will also doing preferential interviews soon. That will slow down the bleeding from regionals into the majors for the summer.

Just curious. Is anyone getting interviewed without degrees lately?

I think the question soon will be, "is anyone getting hired lately without a 320 type"

Or a DC-9 type.

Not that it really matters, all new hires at DAL do the full course. But yea, I suspect(hope) we will be seeing a lot of 320 typed NH soon.
