Not that it really matters, all new hires at DAL do the full course. But yea, I suspect(hope) we will be seeing a lot of 320 typed NH soon.

I'm not sure of the DC9 reference.. as we're really the only people flying a plane that has a DC-9 type (717 for those who don't know). The only other big operator is Hawaiian.. as for MD88s.. USA Jet bought some of ours and is busy flying them.

I'm referring to the 320 types coming from all the Spirit pilots on the street.. and maybe JB and Frontier folks jumping ship.

Hello, I have decided to jump ship at my regional airline and as I am filling out the application I noticed that they want time in each make and model of aircraft. Would it be acceptable to put all the makes and models for single engine land piston in one line. I say this because I am so old that when I was flying these aircraft I used paper logbooks. So I would be unable to use "smart groups" to organize and total these times using an electronic logbook. I would have to manually enter the data anyway. I feel like I really want to get this application off to Delta instead of getting bogged down in the weeds with times that don't matter. I am not sure they really care about 150 vs. 152 dual given.

Nothing Delta likes more from their applicants than attention to detail. I broke all mine out by make and model. Yes, it took a long time.

I knew what you were saying, and agree. I was driving at the fact that the DC-9 typed fleet at DAL (717) is (currently) the most understaffed, at least on the B side. Despite what recent AE's have indicated.

There should be instructions for that field. When I got hired off of the previous system it allowed for groupings like you mention. I did ASEL, ASEL/complex/HP, AMEL. Then anything requiring a type rating got listed alone.

It just says Flight time summary "aircraft make and model" There are no instructions that I can see. Taking it literally would mean sitting down with a spreadsheet for days and separating all my time in these little airplanes (15 years of it) from way back in the past. Regional stuff is easy, its just the 3 full logbooks of flying I did before.

If you don’t take it literally, how do you take it? Maybe breaking it out makes it look a little bit more like you are willing to put in the effort. They might appreciate that. After all, they appreciate us. I think.

Yes something to consider

used to be services that would digitize your logbook, would solve all your issues. No idea the cost.

Why not just take a photo of each page. Use the scan function of any smart phones camera these days and then upload it to AI to sort it out.

I'm not a AI lover but in this scenario it could save you some time.
