I can beat that. I know a pilot (as a NH and a flow) who is so cheap he was going to ask (in indoc!) if when he got to sims (no hotels provided at that point) could he stay in the FA dorms space available.

Fortunately for him (and for all of us, really) his peers were able to educate him out of asking something that asinine and he just got a pad like everyone else.

New hire here - how have the green slip opportunities been for NYC 73N B? Are there a lot of green slips in December typically?

Feast or famine.

Last year people were getting GS#9 in the summer months.

In Oct, I think less than 9 went out the entire month.

For Nov, first month in a long month where the whole month had positive RES Coverage (available > required) so it’s been real slow so far.

Most GS will be over the weekend and the holidays, but as a junior noob on RES, you will already be working those days so no GS for you.

Welcome to Delta!

If you stay in nyc they will come and go as the staffing shifts. If you are local there will be short notice callouts available with some frequency, but that is really hit or miss and can’t be planned.

Yup, this right here is on the money. Accurate for all NYC fleets. Comes and goes. If you are local there are always occasional pop ups, but can't be counted on.

NYC 73N B is really fat right now. Im not sure ANY greenslips went out in October. I think 3 or 4 have gone out this month. There are several days with no open time at all, and plenty of reserves. I havent checked today but reserve coverage on Thanksgiving was blue yesterday. When I couldnt X Day move my way out of it I used the opportunity to throw down a PB day, which was nice.

Heres hoping Christmas gives the same opportunity at some point.

Small number of GS went out in Oct (I got one of them, even as a commuter).

But otherwise, your are correct…slim pickins right now for greenies.

What is the latest time crew scheduling can assign a trip on the last day of Long Call, with a golden day the next day? I believe it is basically midnight of the morning on the last day of LC? Is this correct?

You're only released at noon if you haven't been assigned anything by then. So they could assign you anything that's 12 hours out and still gets you home by midnight.
