This. If you're 3 hours by car, blanket YS and GS in for the whole month.

There is almost nothing less relevant to Reserve at Delta than where my home is (or if I’m there). Sailing, you often give relevant advice but this is a wide miss.

One is a volunteer to fly on reserve. One is, effectively, a volunteer to fly on days off for a premium. There is a lot on here about it. Also, you should talk to your mentor about the details of how to use these.

Best to only use a cell phone if you are going to claim you were traveling ect.. Another good reason not to have a home phone. Keep in mind one of your fellow pilots is going to have to cover the trip that perhaps should have been yours.
If they truly are "co-terminals" (LOL they're not but we still pretend they are for some reason) then you're successfully a "NewYorker" local being 2-ish hours from whichever one you want on any given day. You know, cause they're all the same domicile. Right?

What extra hour in NYC are you talking about?

"In pilot bases with co-terminal airports, a short call pilot’s availability will be determined as follows:

Co-Terminal Airports: EWR, JFK, LGA
Airport Reserve Availability Determined From:
EWR, JFK or LGA."

It seems like you want to read something that isn't written.

I will 100% disagree with you on where you live not being important to how you approach reserve. I utilized the reserve system completely different living in base verses commuting. I also used the reserve system differently committing to ATL which was a 4 hour drive verses commuting to NY which is not drivable. There have also been hundreds of posts on here about how to minimize commuting as a reserve.

it’s not about how you the pilot approaches reserve, but where I am physically located is rather irrelevant *to the company* as long as I’m promptly available
