It gets processed manually starting sometime after 8 and almost always before noon. You’ll see trips start to move over to the Daily Trip Coverage page in iCrew and you’ll know they’re working your category. Whether you get the trip depends on a lot of factors. You have the best chances if your days of availability matches the length of the trip.

Same day and next day reserve trip coverage doesn’t happen in PCS.

Also, YS's can be tricky if the trip you want doesn't match perfectly with your days of availability.
Yeah I have a six day LC and it’s a five day trip.

The YS won’t get processed until the morning before (narrow body) no matter when you put it in.

Any stretch of reserve at or over 4 days all falls into the 4 day bucket, so that works in your favor. Obviously for trips longer than 4 days they'll need a res in the 4 day bucket who has more than 4 days of availability. Sounds like the only way you won't get the trip is if a senior reserve who has at least 5 days of availability also YS's that trip.

23 N and 23 O are worth a read…and a re-read and another re-read. Handbooks and guides and APC are all great references, but at the end of the day it’s worth learning the contract itself. Many sections are challenging reads and will take multiple reads and even further questioning of your peers or mentor to fully understand. But if you can get in the habit of finding and digesting information from the PWA itself, I’m confident you’ll find those skills worthwhile in the long run.

Don't the widebody fleets also have a 5-day bucket? I believe so but I don’t remember if the 7ER falls under that. I know that it does in regards to a min. work block of 4-99-5 instead of 3-99-5 for the NB fleets.

Most of the time yes, however PWA 23.M.3 Exception one states that Rotations with a report time between 0000 and 0400 or a MED designator in Open Time will be covered on the second day prior to the rotation

sorry for the newb question. First LC off OE…
Sched Ref Handbook has good info and is written in plane English, compared to the Legal-eez of the PWA.

PWA 23.E.2 and 3 cover the order of how things are processed during a PCS run

23.N and 23.O (coverage ladders) will show you were YS fall when scheds is trying cover rotations.

PWA 23.T is amplifying data specific to yellow slips

ER is treated as a widebody fleet. So yes there is a 5+ day bucket and it’s 4-99-4, which makes it hard to get every weekend off sometimes.

Default Blue or Black

I keep reading about categories being blue or black. Which one is good and what does it mean?
