Who says I was at home? I often do my SC periods from places other than my home of record.

Yeah. I often stand SC at a motocross track. (it's actually closer to airport than my house). Phone goes off, put bike away, take a shower, drive to work.

By the time they pick up the phone, your obligation will be over.

No worries. They will realize their mistake when they don't authorize an LAX commuter short term parking because they live close. The current employee parking situation is a nightmare.

That must be why they offered me short term parking recently…I live roughly 1,000 miles from the airport.

I got offered (and paid) STP on a 2 day MEX trip they gave me under 90 to report. "We don't normally offer this for 2 days...."

Still went late. But 35 min vs hour plus late.

And I still got called by Duty Pilot.

“It’s none of your business where I’m driving in from. I will be there as soon as I can safely get there. If you’d like for the flight to incur less of a delay, then I recommend authorizing short term parking.”

"STP? No thanks. I'll park at Camp Creek and wait on the bus like all the other schlubs. If only there was a VAS available to not incur a delay."
