Once again, not arguing against anyone’s point of what they are doing, but everyone needs to actually READ what VAS can be used for. It’s not the fix/tool that everyone thinks it can be

Any open flying that doesn't hit OT can be assigned to the VAS. So all these 2 hour notice trips that hit OT, could have gone straight to the VAS. What am I missing? I guess if they are just gonna triple pay the rotation, then VAS is a bad thing as it would cut down on the 4 pilots being rerouted to cover 1 turn like they do now, and also on late notice OT additions that end up going out triple pay.

Ive lost track of how many times I've attempted to use Flight Family that I had just got to hotel and my new pickup time would be 10 hours from the time of the message, and I would be at the airport 20-25 minutes later and to adjust departure time and boarding as appropriate.
What really happens? I get down stairs and no transportation for me....wait 20 minutes....get Uber....finally get to airport....plane is fully boarded and gate agent gives me the smart arse "glad to see you could make it" remark.....no one had any idea I was coming in solo and much later than planned.
I'm not really sure of what Crew Assist's job is any more because I sure don't ge much assist from them.

"The first person to come out and tell me they read this will get $50".
As the story goes, it took over six months before he had to pay out.

Same goes for standby rotations. I've seen them used a handful of times, and the times they do award them, they have zero idea how to use them. I saw one 5 day go out as a greenslip to NYC, and then the pilot got released by scheduling after the 2nd day. Basically a DH and one day of SC paid a 5 day GS.

I am trying to put in my request to move x days for May. It is Saying I am violating off day grouping requirements, but don’t see how this could be true. I am on the 320, and I am only leaving a minimum of 3 day LC stretches, only 5 groupings of x days, no 30/168 issues. I did see they already preposted rest…would this affect PCS accepting my request? For example, I am trying to move the first 3 days of a 6 day stretch. The put me in to preposted rest at 1759 on the last day (before a x day). Does this now mean I didn’t leave behind 3 days of LC and that’s why it is denying me? Only thing I can figure out

PCS just accepted a move request where one priority was to move an X day onto a LC day with PPR, leaving one LC day stranded at the end of a carry-in rotation, but that block is still more than 3 days total.

So I’ve been watching the coverage for May ATL 73NA. Started out with only 2 ‘black’ days (16 Apr). Then it was 6 (18 Apr) including one day , 30 May, that has 44 required and went from 48 available to 22?!? Just checked again before the first PCS run and there are only 8 ‘blue’ days remaining.
I know I’m pointing out what most have already observed, but I had not watched closely before, and was really hoping to drop a couple trips next month. Guess it’ll be IVD’s. Maybe after the PCS run someone will take them off the swap board.
