From: 3+ hour sit in the ATL
How the rotation construction behavior would change?!?!?!
We already have 4:59 hour sits, 10:01 layovers, and 1% commutability with 0500 reports and 2345 releases (I'm talking about you LGA) and 4 day trips with 16 legs.....how much worse could they possible make it?!?! Please enlighten us!

20+ hour layovers are just used to flop us over to mid rotation red eyes and reset set you (30+) when on reserve assignment so you continue to be useful upon end. Losing those is a good thing

Y’all keep saying this. But I really REALLY would need to see a comparison before I’d vote for this. Because of there was a min day, I bet there are many ways they would squeeze more out of it.

You think they are just holding back some way to squeeze another ounce of productivity out of us? Or another way to limit credit? They have trimmed almost every hour of credit they had. So much so they had to put some back because we were timing out and ran out of people.

This. They’ve overplayed the optimizer. We need min day period. The argument of the unknown is bunk at this point. I’m tired of hearing that argument. We had min day at the regionals. It’s pathetic that we don’t. It’s not just 24 hour layover stuff. It’s daily flying stuff. I’m tired of flying 8 hours and then getting averaged out the next day. It’s BS. Get on board with Min Day

It might not be that they haven't thought of it, just that they don't need it right now.
Min day without construction gains could be a mistake.

This. It just shuffles the deck. The rotations would certainly look different but anyone who thinks we are all of a sudden going to be getting more credit for less flying by just adding a min day is being ignorant.

I don't think anyone is under the illusion that min day alone will fix our rotations.

No I don’t think you are gonna get something for nothing. This was a more valid point when t he mainline guys were flying 2 legs a day into a long overnight. The situation now is completely different. Dude we had min day at Trans States and they weren’t flying us 8 hours a day everyday and they were basically desperate for pilots. There are limits to efficiencies I think. I’m not saying they can’t make it worse. But at least I would be paid for it being so. I agree that it’s maybe shouldn’t be a blanket min day. But min day with some guardrails yes
