I find the same with some older captains, either way, the solution is to put them near a pillar while waiting for the van.

Follow-up on the Ebag......CA I just flew with had one, he was a fan, and my steel dragon is on its last legs so I ordered the 21" Mother Lode to give it a shot. Arrived yesterday, but unfortunately doesn't have any strap/loop for attaching a second bag. Can't tell off the website if any of them do come with a strap/loop. Anyone buy one recently that does have an attachment? No way to hang a flight bag off will be a deal breaker........Otherwise looks like a decent slim lightweight bag.

I used one of these to hang a bag from the top handle of the Ebags. Not sure if it’d work for your exact flightbag.
Clip the carabiner to your flight bag then feed the J hook through the Ebags top handle.

Yea I entertained the thought of coming up with some sort of modification like that for the Ebag, but after examination of the existing carry handles or the main handle, i'm not sure how well it would hold up to shade tree mechanic modifications over time. My flight bag gets a little heavy after I add the electronics/water bottles/snacks/etc.

I clipped a backpack with 17" laptop, ipad, etc on to the ebag with that carabiner and it worked great. No issues with the strap, either. I had the 'clip' end of the carabiner always attached to my backpack and would just put the J hook part under the top handle of the ebags. Then I could just slide the J hook part on or off with no issue. Never had a problem

I have now ordered three of the Andare Apex 22" carry-on bags. I'll use one for family travel and non-rev flights. The other two are going to my folks for their non-rev travel use. I spent three days with the Apex heading out to Denver and back to Texas. Packed a suit (interview season!), all toiletries, dress shoes and running shoes, clothes for the trip, and a North Face Denali fleece inside without issues and without expanding the zippered option. Fit great in an ERJ 175 and a few Boeing 737s. Add-a-bag strap was clutch for carrying my loaded up briefcase with all of my pilot/flight hour documentation. The bag is amazing. Wide set wheels, rolls effortlessly over rough ground, suitor does it's job great, durable exterior fabric, and a hard plastic base that won't deform when rolling through wet or slushy conditions. My normal work bag is a Briggs & Riley Baseline Domestic 22" carry-on... I'll never go with a different bag for work trips. That being said, this Andare offers virtually the same features of that $625 bag for only $80! It's a total steal. I even used a leather stamping kit to monogram the leather tab on the front pocket. I've been recommending the bag to my buddies who may be looking for a refreshed work bag or something to kit out their spouse or children with. The Luggage Works J-hook is the perfect size to add to the Andare add-a-bag strap (you'll need a seam ripper to get the buckle off and a sewing machine to make it more visually whole again). I agree with others as the handle/counter balanced aspect means kind of pushing the handle down when walking. I'm 6'2" and will most likely look into extending the handle bars at a luggage repair shop as recommended above. Again, for the price, you can't lose. I don't know if the original price was ever $500 or if Andare will actually honor the 10 year warranty, but for $80... Too easy!
