in my opinion, charging nonrevs for delta one would actually be a big boost to pilot benefits because we are one of the only work groups that wouldn’t really be affected financially paying for it. It would give us a boost on the standby list over other employee groups that might have a harder time shelling out extra money for it.
ZED business is a massive perk and I think people really underestimate it. These foreign airlines often go out with empty business classes - way more frequently than we do. And they have way fewer nonrevs fighting for seats. And once again, we’re one of the only employee groups that could really afford it without issue.

Recently in my experience it seems to be happening automatically within about 24 hours of rotation completion. And mostly accurate too.

This is the post failure framing in action. It’s not automated. The claim will be that it is and the commodore 286 just runs slow, 7+ days after the trip slow. Yeah sure it’s automated. No one individual is making this claim or assertion so nobody can be accused of a lie in a deposition. Sign your comms hypocrite. /eyeroll/

I’m baffled at the feigned importance that management has put on this. My old regional had an antiquated pay model for the pilots. It was confusing and you had to look multiple places to check that your pay was correct (sound familiar?). They announced that they wanted to fix it and make it simpler. Less than 2 years later it was fixed and simpler.
It really is amazing how coming to the “Most Premium Air Line in the US” from a mid-level regional is such a step backwards in terms of IT.

Just get UALs discount revenue ticket option and be done with it. No stupid non-rev games, getting bumped by the family of 10 and you know you'll get there. It's not that much money in the grand scheme of things.

My question on this was: If it’s “automated”, why does it take (according to their email) up to 7 days to appear? If everything is as automated as they claim, it should be instantaneous. We have computing power that wasn’t even fathomable 10 years ago in the palms of our hands. If it is a priority, how is this hard for them to accomplish? The rules get built into an algorithm, then each rotation has the algorithm applied. It should be very simple if/then logic.
