Horrible take.

Silver Slips are Greenslips with credit that go towards the trigger. Why earn credit towards the trigger at single pay when you can for double?

horrible take.

Silver slips take greenslips from everyone and give them to only half of the pilot group. All without a leveling mechanism.

They take GS away from less than 1/6th of the pilot group, a group that already has an absurd advantage of the 5/6ths when it comes to GS. But yes, it does need a leveling mechanism. I don't think we envisioned them just putting every single trip for a week on SS allowing the credit surfers to hog the trough.

Unfortunately we allowed them into the contract. I was against them but supposedly "we" wanted them, so here we are. It's foolish to pass them up, why work the same days for half the pay?

So actual falsifying of government documents by a commander? I don’t think anyone is doing that. What commander certifies orders for someone not doing duty? Maybe there’s some lore on the line of these instances, but I just don’t think it happens. The commander is risking punitive legal action and an end to their own career.

Maybe that’s why none of these cases ever get resolved. Because there’s no “there” there.

The first part is totally not true.

The second part is definitely needed though.

it’s completely true. Reserve greenslips create more greenslips for everyone because they are essentially greenslips with conflict.

I think he meant that people are putting in mil leave with delta while not actually doing mil leave. Has nothing to do with the commander. The 2 people he says he knows are lying to the company and violating USERRA that way.

I'm with you there. Broken up greenslips that go to reserves absolutely do create more GS. SS were built as a PB day killer and sold as something we wanted. Most of us called it here on this forum.

As far as leveling. We still have some SS still sitting in open time that have been up for grabs for 4 PCS cycles now.
