Talking to my friends at UA, I don’t think it’s going to pass there either.

Yes, your coworkers, sorry, “family” are all idiots.

Not sure what world you live in but nobody is getting 25-30% up front. Not even close. I’d be very surprised to see anyone even get a double digit raise up front.

We need at least 15% on day 1 or there will be a ton of no voters. We missed raises on Jan 1 2020, 2021, and 2022, and basically even if we get a TA this year we're looking at setting rates for Jan 1 2023. That's 4 years of missed raises. Even at 3% a year that's 12% on raises that the company cannot be let off the hook for. And that 12% is just current growth off our old rates, and doesn't obviously keep up with inflation. Throw in a 8% first year bump on top of the raises we missed and we're already looking at needing 20% on day 1. Only the most desperate of pilots would be willing to sign a TA that adds less than 10% to our current rates. I'd recall every rep that voted for that POS if they sent it to the pilot group.

Not sure if you guys have been reading the AIP thread over on the United forum, but based on how many of them are talking about improvements to the work rules and being curious about 'the whole package', I'd be willing to bet this thing passes. Or at the least, the leaked rates aren't a dealbreaker. I think fear of the upcoming recession has a lot of guys nervous about sending it back to the table.

Less anyone thinks I'm throwing stones at United, it'd likely play out the same here at AA. I'm not happy about it and I'd love to see you guys toss such an AIP back with a huge middle finger, but that United thread doesn't have me optimistic that you'll see it from them (you won't know what AA will do because I don't think we'll see an AIP for years).

Nobody but their MEC knows what's in it. All anyone has is rumors and a couple of fuzzy screen shots of pay rates.

Since our last raise the flight attendants have received raises totaling 24%. That is the absolute minimum I would accept on date of signing. Of course, there would have to be massive upgrades to the contract overall as well.

How do you define "last raise?" Is it since the Jan20 raise or from the signing of our last PWA?

The quotes were intended to show the sarcasm about calling them family. Doesn’t detract from the fact you have little respect for your coworkers intelligence.
