The reality is that since after bankruptcy pilots have always received their annual raises before the noncons and have done substantially better than noncons percentage wise. (we can go down this road again but...I feel like it's beating a dead horse)

I dont think Sailing is one individual, more than likely a few over the years.

That is incorrect. Noncons received their last raise in 2019 just like pilots. The only other raise was the 4% that went into effect 2 weeks ago. Pilots had been receiving their yearly raises in January and the noncons usually in the fall. So pilots got their raise 9-10 months before noncons. That's not an additional raise. That's noncons getting their annual raise 9-10 months AFTER pilots.

You can have your opinion, but you can't have your own facts. I can give you a breakdown of all the raises received by noncons and pilots from bankruptcy to today if you'd like but...we've already gone down that road.

Some have chosen to consider the 2019 raise noncons received as an "additional" raise but it's nothing more than the yearly raise pilots got earlier in the year. So instead of looking at it with honesty and realize that pilots just get their annual raise before the noncons...some are considering it as an additional raise that pilots didn't get.

United 8K from yesterday states that revenue in Q2 will be up 23%-25% compared to 2019. Kirby in an interview with CNBC stated that they can’t raise prices fast enough to keep from selling out and capacity is the limiting factor to growth, not fuel costs.
They’re also forecasting CASM-ex to be up 16%-17% and still planning a healthy profit.
I’m guessing they see the writing on the wall and want to lock the pilots into a good raise now before the TRASM increase reaches ludicrous levels. If by the end of summer TRASM is up over 30%, then the raises due would be epic!
