You’re so wrong . Both DAL and NWA went after Min day as soon as they went into bk. At NWA, number ONE non pay rate soft pay they went after. Rep told me it was worth 8% manning on that one issue. He said the goal was to get every pilot to work 1-2 more days per month, which ABSOLUTELY happened. Multiply that by a year. Yup almost a month more work for the same credit. You know that and are just being disengenuois.

easy 5 day trips worth 29-31 hours.

there is NO WAY ADG is better. NONE. Selling anything other that that convinces me what side you’re on.

61.28 - 39.75 = 21.53. 21.53/39.75 = 54.2%. If you add in the 6% raise they mentioned in the above post you get 63.5%. What’s 1/2% within the family? I agree much of that was at the cost of profit sharing. But you got it back so you got that going for you…

They can say the total is 64% but if you have a calculator you can see that it isn't 64%. Not to mention that last 14.5% was due to the obliteration of our profit sharing for 2 years where I personally lost over $15,000 on that alone.

The second statement about compensation rising by 80% "since 2008" in that article dated Feb of 2018 is also a lie. In 2008 top pay for flight attendants was $42.30 and when that article was published it was $64.96 per hour. So again, you can pull out the calculator and see that it's nowhere near the 80% they claim.

Lastly, compare pilot pay on 01/01/2007 to where it is now and then compare top hourly F/A pay on 01/01/2007 and compare it to what it is now. The pilot group has received more in increases as a percentage than the F/A group has.

Top F/A hourly pay on 01/01/2007 = $39.75
Top F/A hourly pay today = $72.38

That's an 82% increase.

Top Captain 777/A350 rate on 01/01/2007 = $188.31
Top Captain 777/A350 rate today = $353.85

That's an 88% increase.

If my numbers are wrong feel free to correct me.

Meh, who cares…

Pilots are not equal to FAs, non con, etc. We drive the plane, you ride on it. I’m tired that FAs believe they are kind of equal to us, that they deserve the same. That mentality is brought in by management so they can try to keep our cost down.

They can add the pre departure money, extra money to the FAs, non con, etc. But the plane is not moving without pilots. I wonder how much money they company has lost these past month because they screwed up with the Pilot manning trying to save a dime.

It’s time for them to pay up, increase manning and it’s time for the other groups to stop complaining or trying to keep our hopes down. Yes, I’m talking about you saying keep dreaming for a big pay raise.

We’ve been working a lot since 2019, I’m tired and I’m not even picking up GS anymore. I wish everyone would do the same, I’m sure delta would be losing more money due to pilot staffing.

Can we stop arguing about FA pay versus Pilot pay? It has no bearing on anything.

Right? Why does any pilot think they will convince a FA that we have it worse? I could see this going nowhere right from the start. Being right doesn’t even matter.

Some of the best advice I got from my dad before I got married. "Choose very carefully the hill ya going to die on." Most of the time a simple "perhaps you are right my dear." Will keep you on with wife #1 and save you lots of time, frustration and money

Nobody is advocating equal pay for flight attendants and pilots. Two different jobs. Two different levels of compensation. Stop getting so defensive.

The plane may not move without pilots, but that same plane isn't moving with people on it without flight attendants as we're required by the FAA. So what's the point?

I wonder how much money they company has lost these past month because they screwed up with the Pilot manning trying to save a dime.
My guess is that this fiasco is going to cost the company a couple hundred million in lost revenue because top brass has no idea how to run a well oiled machine.

I'm not keeping your hopes down but there's realistic attainable goals and then there's just "wants" which will never materialize. You can wish and hope for a 25% up front pay raise all you want but anyone with an ounce of brain knows it's not happening unless it's a TA in 2024 or later which then basically translates into 4 yearly raises of 5-6% dating back to 2020 when the PWA became amendable. The longer it takes to get a TA, the more the company saves money on pilot wages because full retro also isn't happening. Just look at how abysmal the raises in the United TA are.

"Having it worse" is such a generic statement. Obviously we're talking about 2 jobs with entirely different compensation...as it should be.

But...who has it worse? Well, a Delta flight attendant with 10 years seniority that works an average of 80-85 hours per month can't even qualify to rent a 1 bedroom apartment on their own in most of our bases because they don't meet the minimum income requirements. I mean...maybe we can all agree that kind of sucks doesn't it?

Average rent for a 1 bedroom apartment in Atlanta is $1,812. Most apartments require a tenants income to be 3x that of their monthly rent meaning on average that's a little over $65,000 per year. A flight attendant with 10 years seniority that works 85 hours per month earns $60,853 per year.

I think we can all agree that sucks huh?

That sure does suck. I’m sure all the folks at AirlineFlightAttendantForums.com are in heated agreement.

Because we don't have it worse? This seriously isn't an argument you're trying to have...
