30% Raise DOS and 25% DC

RIGs, coupled with the optimizer, are why the trip quality isn't where we want it to be. Where you create a requirement for pay, you create an incentive to fill it with flying.
The solution isn't more RIGs, it's contractual limits on bad trips, such as a limit on legs per day, length of overnight, a break in the middle of a long day, etc.
You need a guardrail on both sides of trip construction. RIGs protect from highly inefficient trips. Contractual limits protect trips from being too efficient.

We've got to get our quality life expectations written into the contract.

I certainly wouldn't complain about getting paid more per day, just don't expect the optimizer to let us have it for free. There will be earlier starts on the first day, later finished on the last day, or shorter overnights. They'll fill the days with more flying to avoid dishing out soft pay. And there's plenty of people in the pilot group that don't want that.

DALPA polled the masses and the majority wanted a deep dive negotiation into nearly all aspects of the contract. That’s not a rewrite, that’s cleaning out clutter that has eroded qol little by little. A better informed and knowledgeable company negotiating team wouldn’t have been so overwhelmed and ill-prepared to discuss mutually beneficial improvements.
To my knowledge DALPA never advocated for full control of rotation construction - where did you hear this, or why are you exaggerating?

We elect leaders to lead, not to rubber stamp pilots wish lists.

Couldn’t disagree more. We elect representatives to represent.

Unlike the UPS contract where they took an extension, the Delta contract is lacking in many areas.

Btw, I will advance my thesis and unequivocally say that history shows the rubber stamp approach does not yield results sufficient to even keep up with inflation. The best you can counter with is that we don’t know if my thesis will work.

Except we don't have taxing power. Our elected reps speak on our behalf to negotiate terms of employment with the company. We only get what we can get. This is completely unrelated to "taking" other people's money.

US Railroad workers going to be free to seek "self help" this Friday. The last PEB recommended a 25% raise and if Congress acts, this will probably be what they get. (devil in the details)
US Military currently counseling active duty soldiers on how to apply for food stamps because wages aren't keeping up with inflation. Even with their government CPI adjusted wage hikes, WSJ estimates their real purchasing power has gone down 12.5% (https://www.wsj.com/articles/inflati...ps-11662405897)
A 30% raise DOS for pilots seems eminently reasonable.
