Of course not, but if their schedule is blocked and it is always conveniently working out the same way and it is overly suspicious, I see no reason why it can’t be discussed and questioned. I get it that you’re not much of a free speech advocate, but I’ll keep discussing and questioning things I choose to anyway.

Just a peanut gallery comment on this. Even Sailing posted his dismay a few days ago about a pilot appearing to abuse mil leave. Something about one day every week conveniently placed in the middle of 5 RSV days.
I should add that when I say “even Sailing” I mean that to mean they come across as fairly reasonable and not the type to get upset at something.

I fully support the 1st Amendment. Never been a question. This isn't about that even a little. FMLA isn't your purview and it isn't your responsibility or right to determine if it's used incorrectly. You don't get to question how anyone uses it. You don't have a right to even ask. This is between her, management and her designated union rep. You don't get a vote or even an explanation.

Did you accuse me of whataboutism in my reply to you saying I don't support freedom of speech? Haha. That's rich

You have to hear about and recognize/ascertain there is a problem before you can offer solutions.
"Trip parking" is a prime example. A small number of pilots used bidding cliques to subvert the system to their benefit and abrogate seniority. It had been going on several years before pilots/me started to catch on to the "shenanigans" and a subsequent contract reigned it in for the most part.
Seems like the OP and all pilots opining had no problem with the FMLA. The "problem" arises when getting a GS over the same footprint. Until the situation is known and understood, there is no way to decide whether what happened is "fair".
Maybe to assuage all parties, we speak hypothetically about the situation and get a contract guru to cite hypothetical possibilities as to what is kosher and what is not regarding the GS side of the equation.
JMHO

Footprint of the FMLA or footprint of the trip dropped as a result of FMLA trip touching? How does FMLA differ from mil leave, APDs or IVD? Does FMLA reduce the credit and thus make it harder to get to the trigger?

Hypothetically speaking that is.
