It’s pretty pitiful if aa guys have to come in here to scoff at dal over a contract that took 6 additional months to achieve the same thing dal got. Even if it exceeds it by just one item who cares. Does it truly only make you happy as long as you’re getting more than your fellow pilot. Don’t measure your success and happiness against someone else.

I don’t know if you noticed but it’s been a d*ck measuring contest starting from the sixth post. Welcome to the Delta pilot culture. It’s rare to not fly a few trips without the guy/gal randomly asking my age, when I was hired, congratulating me on being hired at such a young age, then telling me how they actually got hired at an even younger age! Wow so cool!! So that’s why you really brought that up! We love to self stroke our ego.

im happy the way the industry is going that everyone is getting massive qol improvements and pretty big pay bumps. As long as I’m happy with what I’ve got idc what the next guy has. Self worth isn’t measured by what someone else has.
this thread wasn’t start to shame aa in their contract but some of those guys are treating it as much. It was more about internal how their contract will or won’t affect dal. Yet they come here point and try to laugh at the “measly” low tier contract dal has compared to the “far superior” one aa has even yet to publish. It’s stupid.
Aa pilots should be happy for dal pilot that they have something good. That they reset the bar.
I haven’t seen any dal pilot really shaming aa guys. But they are treating it as a game of millimeters.

Also, I think their raise past the amenable date is 3% that year (correct me if I'm wrong). This effectively lowers the bar for everyone that year. Now we're all probably going to get a paltry 3% raise when typically you'd expect double digit raises the first year of a new contract.
