All true as far as I know. But would RG have been “furloughed” if the WARN letters went to his “date of hire”? For god’s sake he was upper level management. He would never have been furloughed no matter what date was the cutoff. The fact that WARNs went back to December of 2016 is either a coincidence or more likely optics I guess but he was never under threat of furlough no matter the date.
Not excusing anything he did. Seriously not my point at all.

Even if true (not disputing), that was one hire. Not dozens. (Or hundreds)
I watched the airline transform under RA.
Nor did very high profile, nurtured over decades talent depart under RA.
RA didn’t furlough when the merger with NWA took place in 2008 and hiring stopped instantly and for years…would’ve been completely reasonable as “synergies” were realized (and morale tanked).
No 3 WARN Act furlough notices recipients back then.
(Checks still clear though. Outside my wheelhouse. Enjoyed meeting and respected the heck out of Mr. Anderson, however).

Honestly, the only person you need to convince here is Trip7…most of use are of the opinion that Gumm is going to be a detriment to the pilot group.
What is amazing to me is the fact that the Atlanta FSDO(FAA) is so in bed with Delta. We have feds that sit in on the Fatigue Risk Management sessions and they are so blinded that they don’t call bull@$&” on the exponential increase in fatigue calls. Absolute clowns. Why are they even sitting in on the meetings, they are basically inept. Hence their involvement and the result of those meetings.
