If you want to be ahead of a Delta employee, you can be a Delta employee.

Except that Overqualified thought he was overqualified and turned down the flow, but now wants to whine on a Delta page about why he can't have the things that real Delta pilots get.

The last buddy pass I gave out was 10 years ago and the person ultimately had to change their destination and rent a car to get to the original city.

I'd trade buddy passes AND non-rev for X confirmed tickets (no blackout dates/seat limits) per year per pilot. I've had the same experience as you on the buddy passes and have only used two in ten years. I've used the jumpseat a fair amount but I can probably count on one or two hands how many times I've non-revved. If I'm going somewhere, I want to know I'll get there and back, so I normally buy tickets anyway. I get others use them, so a choice of either would be a welcome change.

United has a nice program where when you check loads abox in the corner says, "do you want positive space", and gives a price. It's usually very reasonable. From the SE to NYC generally about 100.00, sometimes less. Transcons can be as low as 150.00 If you opt for positive space no back up flight is needed for commuters.
What's propel?

Valdosta is a south Georgia dump that the regionals fly to which happens to be in proximity to a major USAF training base.
Moody is a Ops base, not a training base.

If the option to use the interrobang, the pilcrow, or the virgule isn’t an option, I don’t see why anyone here should get upset with lack of proper punctuation.

Savages.

I had to google “interrobang”.
My first thought was Eric Cartman’s boyband single.

Is this normal? Are buddy passes really just reduced fares?

It seems like just buying a ticket outright on another airline would be cheaper.

Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks.
