It’s outrageous to me that anybody would care about an airplane order for the contract. Does anybody here personally know anybody that would vote down a contract if the company said no more 787s?

Would the company sabotage their network plan, and walk back all their social media posts and announcements, because the pilots said no to a TA?

make it make sense

Management won't dangle the current 787 order. It will be either more 35K or a 777X order to expand our Asia flying if we can relax global scope. "We can fill the new planes if we let our Asia partners bring more passengers to the Skyteam network".
