10000% this. UA has premium sims. AA has paid what you can hold up to 320 CA for FO SLIs.

Delta lags in the pay area.

If we don't get rid of silver slips, we need to put serious guard rails on the company's ability to create/destroy them at will. The company is obviously designating trips as silver to reduce PCS "churn."

Once a trip is designated as silver, every single leg within that trip should pay out at 200% regardless of how it is broken up and awarded later.

But the easiest solution is to eliminate them entirely.

Pretty sure UA pay is at year 12 for whatever seat you can hold whether you’re in it or not. Our SLI have to upgrade on the line and get 500 hours (paraphrasing).

Thank you for joining me on my soapbox about SS.

I still want them to go away, but this would be a decent step in the right direction.

There seemed to always be a tremendous amount of resistance on the south side to doing anything for the SLIs. They were considered by some to be "management pilots". NWA had significantly better SLI rules across the board, including "SLIs only" in the sim, premium pay for additional events and a hard cap on events so they couldn't be run to death. And those rules survived the NWA bankruptcy, but were jettisoned in the JCBA.

It's just a matter of priority.

I’m exclusively reserve, what’s the story with SSs that guys don’t like them anymore? I’m out of the loop.

It’s needed, just like all other premium. Also should be available to reserves.

well…yeah. How many instructor council pickets have you seen, ever?

How many ALPA lanyards or pins did you see from them when Section 6 was in full swing?

And forget it outside of Section 6.

SLIs are absolutely management-friendly in the macro sense. I think it’s pretty much self-evident. I don’t even understand why we have an instructor-specific DALPA council. Might as well have a LCP council.
