They are so crappy they end in reroutes when a single issue arises, weather, rest, maintenance etc. $$$

I agree with this and a change in attitude probably happened when the network pull down for fuel cost and availability was circulated amongst the brass.

This sense of “otherness” towards fellow pilots, that fly the line a lot themselves, is abhorrent. Feels very shoot-inside-the-circle esque.
I never saw an instructor wearing the lanyard either. I always wore mine into the lion’s den and I was the one being tested. I never understood why those guys can’t put the damn lanyard on. I think it would only take one or two influential instructors to start wearing the alpa contract swag if/when we get it to sway the other followers to support their union.

Man y'all got some wild ideas:
  • SS leveling
  • get rid of SS
  • leveling for all premium pay with lookback
  • SS are terrible bid package trips nobody wants them
Every idea would have unintended consequences for credit surfers take advantage of. Don't hate the player, hate the game. Big picture, I don't think there is enough heartburn amongst the pilot group about SS to warrant any changes in the PWA.

I think hating the game is what they're doing. My only problem with them is that they're not available to reserves. They should be available to reserves or they should go away.

Most instructors were wearing lanyards and not wearing hats during fly months. Nobody considers it the “lion’s den” to wear a contract lanyard in a sim. No instructor is upset that it was being worn.

The point is the instructors aren't participating in union displays when instructing. They should be. As union members and especially now that they have their own council they need to get onboard or will be singled out.

That doesn't align with our premium pay scheme. Why would line holders get PB days?
