In case you missed the chicken and egg thing. It's a pattern bargaining thing since all legacies are unionized. The pilots with your attitude will see the unions that are aggressive as setting the standard and the other unions suckling on the teats after you get the biggest nipple. The moderate unions will see their gains as bar setting and closer to on time ....and the aggressive unions come and get a "me too contract". Like I said both sides (if biased and myopic) can only see one side of that paradigm.
You do realize it's 2026 not 1926 don't you. I still support unions but 90% of the heavy lifting has been done by previous unions generations/contracts.
It's business. Like I suggested, don't personalize it and pick your battles. Seems like you want everything to be "THE BATTLE". I think that ultimately leads to just a really crappy work environment. Why the hate on Delta? Seems like they set the standard last contract cycle and the other majors came along for a "Me too" contract.........But now I can anticipate what your response will be...but, but but.....and back to the "chicken and egg" thing.
Two things can be right at the same time..... who is more right will be in the eye of the beholder because it's a really, really grey area.

To bargain collectively and to protect members from the whims of managers (and in our case, the FAA.)
This pilot group has voted overwhelmingly for strikes in the past. I don't doubt our solidarity. But the "Whoa is me, we're being oppressed," shtick is not going to sell with anyone. "Respect" and $2 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Take your emotion out of the equation.
Can you name a single pilot group anywhere in the world that is better off than us?

I love Delta. I came from NWA and am grateful to be here. That's why I'm so "aggressive" in my opinions regarding our approach to management. Hopefully RG will be gone soon and we can get back to everyone working together to make Delta the best airline in the world again.
I think that you have to reflect back to management what they send our way.
