Point still stands that gramps is out of touch with whom he directs his ire.
I do find it ironic that the parents of millennials (boomers) are the ones who disparage them the most. Maybe if they were home more instead of being workaholics then they would’ve known when their kids were born.

Another way to say it is that we're almost at the point where Gen X and Boomers are collectively the minority of Delta pilots.

This. I still don’t understand how the millennials are STILL getting disparaged, over 20 years later since they started getting heat.
Millennials are basically 40ish years old now, with families and careers. Gen Z and Gen Alpha are the young ones now, but somehow Millenials are still being called out for being the young/entitled/ignorant/whatever generation.

From the perspective of the older generations (at least the ones young enough to have to work with them, boomers and GenX), there was a fairly sharp contrast in attitudes and work ethic.
Previous generations always had some of that going on, typically reflected in dress and music, but when they got into the workplace they came round pretty quickly.
Millennials, due to having *very* significant differences in upbringing did not come around to the old ways and that created long-standing friction. Those differences (technology and some trends in the education system and child-rearing concepts) created a sharp and significant generational divide.
While the M's have obviously had to somehow adapt to adulting and earning a living, there's still some lingering friction. Maybe just bad blood?
Yes, it was the "fault" of the booomers for screwing it up, but in fairness they simply didn't know. They didn't grasp the significance of tech/internet and they thought the new education and child-rearing ideas were actually better. Not the fault of GenX, I was in my twenties and focused on beer and tail, anything to do with kids was the furthest thing from my mind.
We finally seem to be getting around to banning phones in school, and maybe at all times for kids below a certain age.

YGTBFKM with this BS. Van drivers are paid to drive us from A to B safely and on time. I don't know what it is, but it's at least minimum wage. Tip them if you want to, but thinking it's required it's the most asinine bull**** I've ever seen.
You think they deserve a tip because 5-15 of your lives are in their hands? We have 100-350 lives in our hands every flight, where are our tips? GTFO with your BS. You're tipping them because you've been indoctrinated to the American tipping culture BS designed to let their boss pay them less. That's it.
Yes, I tip van drivers when they toss my bags. I still think it's completely F'd up to do so.

"Why tip someone for a job I'm capable of doing myself? I can deliver food, I can drive a taxi, I can and do cut my own hair. I did, however, tip my urologist. Because I am unable to pulverize my own kidney stones"

I left a $20 bill on top of the toilet when it wouldn't flush at the NYC long and i had to get front desk to send a guy up, and I always tip the van, but honestly just out of tradition (and yea prob peer pressure), even as a $23/hr Dash-8 FO. Am I a good person? 25% chance my $2 is just going towards a new vape re-load.

The explanation is much simpler than that, in my opinion. Millennials were the first generation to be picked on during the age of the internet, where criticisms could be widely seen and quickly normalized. It became a generic insult, it stuck, and now it’s routinely incorrectly used while old people complain about young(er) people.
The next generation is weak and entitled!
- Every generation ever.
