Agree. Plus the snapshot is not even taken for another 2 years and it does not include international.

False. Read the latest Negotiator Notepad...engine savings are less than $200 million. The original writer was challenged to produce his company source and he refused to do so.

Slow, according to this on page 16 http://www.team.aero/files/aviation_..._guide_crj.pdf the reserve costs for a CR2 -3B1 engine would cost between $2.8M and $3.4M each. I believe those are Delta Techops numbers btw. If that is $5.6 to 6.8M per airplane, the 200 million would be used up by 30-36 airplanes out of 319ish CR2s.

So how many airplanes are due for an engine change?

After rereading the Section 1 language, I agree. This is the statement from the most recent Touch and Gos from ALPA about the block hour ratio:

(Note: Ratio forces DCI to shrink below 450 fleet cap)


The note was in a table referring to a 6% reduction in block hours and its effect on DCI block hours. It was a projection based on historical aircraft utilization and staffing. The actual Section 1 language only requires a proportional reduction in DCI block hours, not airframes, but block hours is really what is important, as it correlates directly with pilot jobs. Do you agree?

Maybe in the morning I'll understand. My mind is a little warped and it's not because they made a movie about Abe Lincoln the Vampire killer or that they've remade Total Recall, which makes me realize I'm getting old when they're remaking movies I saw in a theater.

Anyways, this sucks. My wife was gone last night and most today but she ended up coming home earlier than planned and caught me in the act. And I mean caught me. There was nothing to say. I just admitted it. Explaining it felt good all last night and today got me nowhere. I'm sad, because I really liked it.

But now I have to say goodbye to the thermostat set at 72 degrees. Man it was great.
