I think you DL L&G guys should make it a project to get boomer hired. Somedays I only have time to briefly scan L&G, but everytime I see his kitten avatar I make sure to stop and read it, it's bound to be insightful, truthy, entertaining, or underboobly!

I've thought about getting more involved BUT as a commuter I believe it would be really difficult to put in the time required and I wouldn't volunteer for anything unless I was willing to put in the time. While I don't like a lot of the things that were put into this TA I respect everyone that put the time into this negotiation and all my communications with an individual DALPA rep (no matter which section) have always been good.

You're legal to start at 29:40, however if you over block on day 1 by 21 minutes, they'll have to make an adjustment before you duty on day 2 - because then you will be illegal. By my calcs, it is 29:30. If he flies an extra 30 minutes, I believe the scheduler's programming will correct the 30/7 issue without any intervention by the scheduler. They used to just dead head the 30/7 pilot on one or two legs to cure the problem, but I'm not sure if that works now with some of our newer rules. As an MD-88B I once DH to CAE to fly one leg back to ATL. When the aircraft came in, I went up to the cockpit to make my nest. The FO said "Are you deadheading?" I said, "No you are." Scheduling hadn't told him he was a 30/7. He DH to ATL and then continued his rotation. Again, not sure if we can do that now.

Also where can I find which bases and jets have reserves over 20% and get the extra day off if ALV drops below 75:00?
