Change starts with one pilot. When you running for Rep? :D I've thought about getting more involved BUT as a commuter I believe it would be really difficult to put in the time required and I wouldn't volunteer for anything unless I was willing to put in the time. While I don't like a lot of the things that were put into this TA I respect everyone that put the time into this negotiation and all my communications with an individual DALPA rep (no matter which section) have always been good. |

Does anyone know if there is an incentive for us to lower the benefit pay out from our Delta provided life insurance? I think my pay out is around $700,000. I thought I read somewhere that we get something upfront in exchange for agreeing to a lower benefit pay out. I couldn't fine it anywhere in the TA/PWA but I didn't feel like digging too deep.

Am I completely stupid or does that only equal 29:40?? It's been a long couple days.
You're legal to start at 29:40, however if you over block on day 1 by 21 minutes, they'll have to make an adjustment before you duty on day 2 - because then you will be illegal. They will contest this, but remind them that you can't accept an illegal assignment, nor may they legally assign you one. |

If I understand it correctly, we are taxed on the deemed value of the policy. If a $500,000 policy is costs less than a $700,000 policy and you elect the $500,000 coverage, your taxed on the value of the $500,000 policy.

I worked pretty hard in Jun and logged only 56 hrs, I'll be amazed if they can wring 80 hrs out of me. That coupled with a 4% raise is pretty big.
I would like to see a comparison of July-July 2012-2013 monthly ALV vs July-July 2011-2012 next Year to see if we really did work harder and if the ALV goes down to not pay resvs as much or if resv is worked hard and the ALV stays high so as to not needing as many pilots. Also where can I find which bases and jets have reserves over 20% and get the extra day off if ALV drops below 75:00? |
