That's why I'm so excited and optimistic, the timing could not be better. I have a gut feeling that my obsessive reading and writing on here will pay off in terms of my career.:)

Hard work, in the timing department, frequently pays off well in this industry.

Good on ya. Keep it up. The ones who slack off will be pulling gear for you in no time.

I've got a proline center console. 150 will move it plenty fast, but I am looking at the 4 strokes for the better economy.

I'll say, with what a new motor sells for, you can certainly upgrade boats significantly due to all the repo boats at auction. There is a BIG/HUGE disconnect between retail and wholesale.

Last week, way more boat than I want, I saw a 2003 26 foot whaler with twin 225 verado's (with 170ish hours of run time) 2006 vintage and a triple axle trailer sell for $16K. That's the price of one of those motors retail.

If it happens it will not be a nwa Dal type deal. Not even close.

Largest by the long shot if it happens.

Not NW/DALin the sense of smaller, or larger than NW/DAL merger was. Can't imagine DAL taking the whole Magilla of AMR, or even half of it getting through anti-trust scrutiny.

I was referring to something besides size. Dal could buy all and divest what the need to for ati. Election is close. Votes needed. We discussed this a year ago.

The leak bout BA is well place and meant to create action.

It will. Trust me. Instruct there. Apply for Dal's internship for you summer after your first year. Also look at taking a semester off for one here. Less competitive.

Many may laugh at you working so hard but as you know seniority is everything. It saved me years and was able to upgrade at a regional at 25. Barring 9-11 I would have had a much different career. I hope nothing like that ever comes in your, way. Keep in touch with us mou seem to have your, head screwed on straight.

Thanks. Like I said, though, I realize that it's practically unheard of currently for a 21 year old (that's what I'll be when I graduate) to become a new hire pilot with Delta. I'll tell you, though, I'm going to try and push as hard as I can to increase my chances of it happening.

(And by the way, when I do make it to Delta, I ain't leaving!)

Are these the engines you are looking for? Or do I have the wrong picture?

I have been looking and really just looking at Reggie boats on repo. Momma would never let me get one but thy re fun to look at. I'm more likely to get a cruiser.

Dal is going I. The correct direction. The moves being made will show that. We just need pilot compensation et al to move that way too.

"I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan..."

Ah there's something about a woman that's not afraid to handle a fish.

Oh, we were talking about motors...right.
