I am tired of talking about trip parking. Suffice it to say, on the -er, 330, 765, 777, and 747 whenever there are two pilots who can swap their piece of the rotation each other, it doesn't have to go through open time.

The "87 hour average" is calculated by dropping all lines that are below 70 hours. There were several months where folks were getting sub-70 hour lines (and pay), and none of those lines went into the average. Nu |

Those two guys you were talking about must be best friends, Academy Classmates, Wife Swppers, F15 pilots, or all of the above, not that there's anything wrong with that... I don't have any friends like that, I guess that's why nobody calls me? :D In the words of Henny Youngman; Take my wife...Please! |

here is the bottom line for me, and i wish it were true for all: We shouldn't have any kind of private swap system. We should remove the absurd reserves required restrictions that caused people to run away from swp, and we should have a 21-st century single market for pcs, where seniority and transparency rule every transaction, and a swp is not assigned a lower priority than a drop/ws, but handled as a simultaneous conditional drop and pick-up withn the same priority. It would all fit within max pick-up, with a bow-wave, and we could all fill up throughout the year, to a reasonable amount that would be more in line to the pilot profession than the oldest profession. i believe this to be so important that i am using caps, boldface, all at once. And let me add, for effect, some exclamation points!!!!! I really mean it! +1 Good post, sink. |

I've given up trying to predict what airplane will go where, I've been fence sitting on a bid and probably the only people more confused than I am is crew resources. I mean, what widebody can you reasonably count on being stable? They shift flying all over the place now.
I wonder too if the days of point to point Europe flying are over for good, or just on hiatus until the economy picks up again. And when it does, what sort of airplanes will we have flying it? The older ER's are about 1991 vintage, so they've got about 10 years left in them.

JFK is extremely important though. I think we'll see DL flying bigger metal to the business markets for now, and trying to steal some customers from UCal and AA. But when you see markets like IST just vaporize, it's pretty disconcerting.
I hope the economy comes roaring back and we see PtP growth out of NYC again. I'm not counting on it in the near term, though I did just buy some Spanish bonds on a short term yield play...

That Haneda slot time out of SEA looks pretty painful... who are we connecting over here at 6PM Pacific time? The slot times need improvement or that route will fail too. PVG... no idea. I hope it's a winner, and they bump it up to a 330 or a 777.

I know, I know, you don't get to do NCE anymore, which isn't nice. But your base doesn't look to bad from a different perspective!;) |

No worries, not much anyone can do about it. I understand as I fly also, but we carry extra starters with us.
Actually, I don't get it. What the hell are you talking about? |

It just makes me "SICK" that we have to compromise when Sched screws up. Oh well...rules are rules...I just want to make the world a better place! Cheers H
Already addressed. On reserve, I make it a point to check. ICrew or call the VRU as close as possible to 1501 ATL time. Works good, lasts a long time. |
