If it was that easy, wouldn't everyone do it or am I the last one to NOT do it?
I just went and looked it up in the contract, Section 12, it says you can deposit up to +20/month, up to a max of +60, or take out up to 20/mo. if you are that short, up to a max of -30. The key is, you cannot take out a whole bunch at once, it will only let you fill up to 82hrs. for the month. Example: your Jan. line is worth 75, you have +60 in the bank, you want to pull all 60 of it in Jan, when the new pay rates kick in, it's only going to allow you to pull 7 out, to get you up to 82. So to get all the time you put in, out, you'd have to be running below 82 for quite a while, assuming you filled it up to +60. I tried to copy/paste the entire Bank section, but it wouldn't do it. Best to go read it yourself, page 12-16 and 12-17. Go to the Dalpa web page and click on the Live Contract, go to section 12. Also, about vacation and how many reserve X days you get, there are charts in section 12 that will show you exactly how many days you get. |

CQ no longer reduces your days off on reserve (it used to). As johnso said it is considered "available."
Your vacation time will reduce your number of days off. There is a table in the front of the bid packet (pbs bid site as well??) to show you the reduced amount. |

Are you saying the new contract equals reserves working more than they used to during a CQ month?
I said CQ no longer reduces your days off while on reserve like it used to.... And that change was made prior to this new contract (loa or something). Vacation reduces your days off, in the same way as it did under the old contract as far as I know. |

In previous contracts, your 2 days of CQ would further reduce your days of availability (down to 22) and that would reduce your total days off. So under or new contract that doesn't happen. |
Hmmm, seems like a lot of new pro-purple-aide posters popping up, even taking pot shots at our beloved moderators.
I wonder what kind of new TA, LOA, MOU or some other deal is coming down the pike, such that they need to be in place to start the spin. Discuss... Nu |

You can do it - it's just only credit above 80 hours in a month is allowed to be banked. So you'd have to credit over 80 hours to get it. Vacation, training, GS are pay (or double pay), no credit so they don't count.
Senior folks might be able to do it but otherwise it's a bit hard. |

I think the most you can put into your positive bank is 5 hours per month...unless that's been changed in one of the last T/A's, which it may have, but back in the day, all you could deposit was 5.
Ever since we've been using PBS, I've been in negative bank land, so I'm not too sure what the max pos. deposit is anymore. |
