Speaking of regional regionals... I thought this needed repeating in here:

That, my man, is a Convair 240, if it were a Martin,it would be on fire.

I am ashamed of myself.

No sweat, I can't tell those itty-bitty jets one from another. It takes all I can do to get up the steps. I'm glad they are close to the ground. Roatan has steps for the 757,I know I'm going to pitch-pole down those babies eventually....

Living Abroad

Are there Delta pilots that live in Europe and commute? I was thinking that 5 years down the road that my family wouldn't mind renting an apartment somewhere in Europe, for a year or so, and living there. Is it impossible to commute back to the states if you are in a category that has one or two trips per month?

Do you know any Delta pilots that live (even temporarily) in Europe?

There is a well known NYC pilot (AT) that lives in France (I think he's an ER-A now) He used to commute in from CDG for JFK-CDG-BOM-CDG-JFK then commute home. There are others that commute from the UK. One of my friends just moved back to Park City from a 3 year stint living in Chile. I'm sure there are more.

I have flown with two different US-based FA's that live in HKG and commute in for their trips. IMO, that's crazy.

Be able to hold an line in an international category and it is probably workable. However, you possibly can never meet either of the DAL commutability requirements.

I knew of a few pilots and lot's of FA's who commute from Europe, mostly AMS, CDG or FRA. If your senior in your category it seemed to be possible but tiresome. I would live in or near AMS if you choose to do this. Have fun!

Thats a mudhen on a low level with a lawn dart in tactical spread. They're about to drop a 500 pounder on a high value iraqi truck. Where are the Hogs when you need 'em.

I know this isn't a DCI, I mean an airline a part of THE DCI, but here's what a regional jet can do to yo... for you...

this is Coex with 274 ERJ-145s

I'm trying to find a route map of all the flying under Skywest and Expressjet, but no luck so far.

so just imagine the above coex/asa map with these:
