DAL Options | Delta Air Lines Inc. (New) Comm Stock - Yahoo! Finance
At the end of Dec and after the VA announcement, DAL was trading just above 9.50 and the Dec '12 10 calls were .40. The stock is now 11.8 with the same calls sitting at 1.8. With the positive news, I decided to have some fun.

As Airtran has their seats arranged (with a premium cabin) they seat 117 I think, while our DC-9-50 (all we fly now I think) seat 125.

I can tell also after flying out of mecca for a few months. The obvious differences is that most S wear their I'd on the lapel of the jacket, (I know that is what the fom says), tend to be much more proactive in the cockpit(ie: getting everything done before I arrive(appreciated) launch into checklists without being called(slow down, we get paid by the min) signing in at the hotel, they take charge(usually handing me the key as I approach the desk(now if we could get separate sheets from the fa's like we had a Nwa), all in all good guys(hell, I bet I'd even enjoy flying with bucking or 80). One glaring similarity is the inner Blutarski that both sides have when I mention beer is on me(even the ones that mention they don't drink much) Cheers to all and happy festivus, merry Christmas, kwanza or whatever y'all celebrate. Here's to kicking some more industry ass next year.
You sure about that? I can tell within about 30 minutes of leaving the gate where a pilot was pre-merger.
And your assertions about what DALPA did or didn't want was not a view shared about their position in the school house. So you might want to do a bit better job communicating.
So long, ALPA boy.

I don't see not wanting to fly international as a reason for a 767 guy to avoid the ER. There is so much domestic flying in the category now that nobody has to fly international if they don't want to, except for a reserve guy occasionally. Hoping that 767 guys will bid to the 73 is kind of a pipe dream.

If hired at DAL, it may be years before you can hold MSP. I believe 2008 hires and above can hold at this point (there "might be " 1 or 2 from 2010). Besides, you're only 31. I think the average age in 2010 was around 35-36. Give it a few more years and you'll be right in the sweet spot.
I tend to agree with the theory that any future new hires would be hired into a period of sustained hiring. If that holds true, even with the downsizing I'd think MSP plug positions would be available easilly within a year. Easilly.
