In other news, your airline is now funding yet ANOTHER competitor.

Republic/Shuttle/CHQ just inked a deal to fly 53 E-175s for American Airlines.

They now fly for every single one of your competitors, except SWA. They also own Frontier.

It all goes to the same bank account.

Skywest flies for UAL, AA, Us Air, & Delta as well. RAH is also buying the airplanes themselves. So I guess all the Legacy airline are guilty of funding competitors.

Johnso,

I took Ferd's post to mean someone who spends a lot but doesn't fly much.

For example I have a good friend/snowmobile buddy who owns an excavating business. He doesn't really fly much for business or pleasure but he puts everything on his AMEX card...to the tune of about $1.5M a year. He and his wife/family often take great vacations and they fly first class on Delta everywhere using up those AMEX Skymiles.

I skimmed over the summary of the new program fairly quick. I didn't get into details. Why is a disadvantage to someone like your friend?

My understanding the RJs-for-narrowbodies swap is a separate deal and would be accretive.

I'd put money on the 321CEO (current model CFM56 with sharklets)

Cheers
George

Hmmmmm.......thanks. :)

Has anyone seen or built a profit sharing formula for per person amount?

Richard announced it would be 6.67% of your W2.

But we subtract 2011 profit sharing and shared rewards?

Probably.

You wouldn't want to get Profit Shaing on top of Profit Shaing, now would you? :D

Contract Awareness Bulletin 13-01

Shared Rewards or any Profit Sharing Plan payouts related to prior years

there are several elements of "income" not counted, the list is somewhere that I recently read. Not included is perdiem, imputed income, shared rewards, and about 4-5 other things. For the simple math, I just estimate 5.5% times my whole w-2 (plus I sock the whole thing in my ret acct.). It's better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Profit Sharing Formula

From Your Pay Check on 31DEC12 take

FLT PAY + FLT ADV X .0667 =2013 profit sharing check from 2012 wages

A couple other exceptions may apply outside of FLT PAY And FLT ADV as provided in Section 3 .I in the PWA

Now take your 2013 profit sharing check and multiply X .667 to see 2014 profit sharing check if we had the same profit.
