None the less, I was impressed to where we are going and we do have a smart group of guys running things here at DL. I feel lucky. I do not agree with everything because it affects QOL and does not make sense sometimes in my corner of the world. But the big picture is interesting and a good place to be at the moment. We as a pilot group do need to keep an eye on the ball we need to be active participants to better enjoy the ride. In all good perspective. |

Your going to have to stop saying good things. Don't you know this forum is a giant pity party! Next thing you know Purple will accuse you of being on FPL.
I don't think anyone questions we've got great senior leadership at Delta, arguably the best by a mile compared to the rest of the industry. But like Fig said, that doesn't mean what they want is always the best for us as a group and that's why it's up to us to keep the eye on the ball. After all, they're driving hard to make this airline super productive with what it has and the opportunities that are placed before it. I'm sure they look at us and see opportunities for improved productivity, but at what cost to our QOL? That's what I believe Fig was saying when he said we need to be active participants to better enjoy the ride. |

Any hints for those of us who lost our ALPA login?
Troubles Logging in? Passwords are case-sensitive when logging on to the alpa.org website. If your first attempt does not succeed and you have any alpha characters in your password, please try your password alternatively in ALL CAPS or all lower case. Below are some other questions concerning login to the ALPA website which may assist you. I forgot my password! Now What? If you have forgotten your password please access the Forget Password link so that you can request it. If you previously setup a password reset profile, you will be prompted to answer the questions you provided. Upon answering your security questions, you will be given the opportunity to reset your password. What can I do if I dont have a Password Reset Profile? Contact the ALPA Help Desk at [email protected], 888-359-2572 x HELP Once they get you squared away setup or change your password reset profile by following the Forgot Password link and choosing the Create/Edit My Profile option. Can't Login/Blank Page/No Web Boards As a result of the new login process there may be some lingering cookie conflicts from the previous login method. If you are experiencing this please try clearing the cache/cookies/temporary internet files of your browser and then restarting the browser and trying again before contacting the ALPA Help Desk. What Do I login with? The Username to login to the ALPA website member's only area is your ALPA member number or your "Alternate login". When using your member number you must input all seven digits including the leading zero (if any). You will also need to exclude the hyphen from the member number. For example, member number 123456-7 would be entered in as 1234567. Staff can use their 4 digit staff number. If you have an alpa.org email address you can also use that as your Username. You should also use the password for the email address as well. What is an Alternate Login? An Alternate login is a username you can setup to use instead of member number. While your member number can still be used, the Alternate login allows you to setup a username that might be easier for you to remember. How Do I set up my Alternate Login? To setup an Alternate login for your existing account access helpdesk.alpa.org and choose the Change My Password link. From there you can follow the Alternate Login option. Note you will need to first login before you can setup an Alternate login. Can I login even though I am not a member? I think FIIG is on FPL.:D |
Those items could be good for the company, I suppose, if properly executed.
But none of them gives us pilots more money or more time off. So I guess I'll just yawn and scratch myself until my QOL and paycheck (i.e., purchasing power) improve. |
Looks like we have a big surge of flights going down to SXM and MCO for carnival charters. A330, 764, 763, & 752's. I wish I could find a link to that Motley Fool idiot that said Spirit was going to kick delta's butt because we're too big and "inflexible." Find another airline that can instantly come up with 4000+ seats.

Sure, but where are those seats coming from? What would they be doing had the Carnival crapfest not happened?
