Let me guess....If we vote this TA we will purchase 88 717's. If we do, we may need to hire during the fall 2012.

I do wish there was a way to share the info with DAL pilots only. Nothing earth shattering but enough stuff it is best not to put in a public forum.

Basic info

DAL is out right beating our competiton and business travelers are responding.

Flt Ops wants to hire (bid was delayed while Flt ops tried to prove the need to hire, but did not win). Hiring is slated to start JAN 2014. This summer is going to be busy. But nothing like pilot needs in 2014, Hence the need for pilots as soon as the green light is given.

Network is maximizing SEA LAX. We will provide the feed AS cannot give and we will protect our flying and feed with DAL metal. RJ building of market and switching to DAL metal is working and will be used aggressively.

Over all positive. I will answer any PM from DAL guys if you have specifics I will answer the best I can...

Feeling good that I will not be commuting for much longer!

Fiig

From a DAL wannabe, this sounds great. Hopefully good things to come for all DAL pilots! Thanks for sharing

The notes from charm school?

4 or 5 years ago when I went to Charm School I recall RA promised he would give us the "not for public consumption" straight scoop under the condition that he wouldn't find it posted on the DALPA Forum the next day. To his credit he was very thorough and honest in his answers during the Q&A.

While I like reading juicy insider rumor stuff as much as the next guy, we have to be somewhat careful if you expect him to continue to dish the info. As I recall, he got a little miffed last year when the notes from a Line Check Airmen's meeting he briefed showed up on numerous forums.

Any hints for those of us who lost our ALPA login?

If RA really cared about that, he'd have everyone in the room sign a confidentiality agreement. He is a lawyer, remember. Besides, nothing in that report is earth shattering, unbelievable or even verifiable. But it certainly sounds nice... :)

Although RA was not in SEA for the meeting, I feel it is not the best idea to share what is meant for DL pilots.

None the less, I was impressed to where we are going and we do have a smart group of guys running things here at DL. I feel lucky. I do not agree with everything because it affects QOL and does not make sense sometimes in my corner of the world. But the big picture is interesting and a good place to be at the moment. We as a pilot group do need to keep an eye on the ball we need to be active participants to better enjoy the ride.

In all good perspective.
