Check out the schedules and trips on the -9 for April. That is the reality that will await one after the summer off!

I know this has been covered before but I don't want to wade thru 12500+ pages to find out.

I am coming off a trip on Saturday and have a scheduler assigned 24 hour break from Sat to Sun due to afternoon. After I make my required schedule check at the end of my rotation on Sat am I required to check my schedule during my 24 hour rest period?

I've been corrected on this issue. Technically, no. How long does it take you to get from home to check-in?

243 senior to with 124 first choice senior to 6900's. I'm thinking that folks are saying, "how much different can it be that the 7ER trips?"

No, they know they are getting the summer off.

By the contract, yes.

ALPA is the ones to call for the true answer, but I think you're supposed to check your schedule 9 hours before the end of your rest period. If you don't, you might have to report as early as 3 hours after your rest period ends.

Question - Does a new category and/or a First Time Captain bid incur the standard 2 year seat lock? I thought I remember reading that you can bid out of a 24 month FO seat lock if you are bidding into a CAPT seat or into a newly established category, but those brain cells have long since been killed, and I might have it backwards. :)

The company talks about the 88 guys quickly converting to the 717. They have beat it into us that we are over staffed and they foresee the 88 - 717 conversion really helping bail them out with respect to the training demand. I am curious what the "Bob's" have in mind if the majority of 717 guys come from other airframes. The company seems to have put most of their eggs in one basket here.
