Check with your Captain. Sometimes these rotations have the same confirmation number. If the other crewmember uses it, then you can't.

I've not found a way to unscrew this when it happens. Gate Agents can move you, but some think that they are not supposed to.

Who do you talk to when this happens?

I thought as soon as you check in to your rotation you can change a deadhead to something less painful then a center seat assigned 4 days out.

You have to be within 24 hours to move to an econ comf seat. Unless you're deviating, then you fall under "company business" instead of "crew travel". Another way crew deadheads get the short stick.

I only think I know what his problem is. The fact that Delta's apps keep "crashing" on him (but have been working for everyone else) suggest an iOS / Android / browser compatibility issue might also be involved. Best to use the crew lounge computer or vanilla Windows Explorer at the Hotel. (as an OS agnostic it has been observed Android will not work, chrome is a little iffy, Firefox under Linux does fine as does Windows + Explorer)

If it is the single confirmation number for an entire crew's listing nobody seems to know how to fix that.

I assume someone with authority to create positive space listings could cancel the single listing for 2 and rebuild 2 individual listings they could, but then both you risk the loss of the other pilot's seat. Crew scheduling, crew tracking, gate agents all seem unable to fix in advance.

At the gate I've routinely had gate agents help at the last second. Seems a family frequently wants a row and they end up taking my middle seat for Jr.

Nice profit for Delta. The Trainer refinery is still losing money though.

However, the crack spread has been reduced considerably since we got into the business. Arguably our investment prevents us (and our competitors) from being gouged by Wall Street speculators.

They may announce a pilot pay raise. Not.

Wasn't the goal of Trainer not to turn a traditional profit but rather to lower the crack spread?

I believe that's correct, at least in the motivation to do the deal. Problem is it's been viewed as something that's suppose to turn a profit by itself -- and it'll be interesting to see how those fickle Wall Street pointy heads blow that up, or don't, during the call -- and the stock.
