Math help?

$372 million in PS for the 2012 year.

15% of profits go the employee share.

That means the number used to calculate the profit is $2.48 billion?

The Company 'reported' $1.6 billion?

Another brilliant marketing scheme?

I recently used some old Sky Miles built up over the years. 40,000 miles for a Domestic RT in Y. If someone's spending $40,000/year on their Amex for a single coach ticket, all the more power to them.

And yet being proven right it is a burden you endure so gracefully. Props to you, my modest APC brother; props to you.;)

What this suggests to me (and I'm often proven wrong) is a slight shift in Delta's leverage in the relationship with AMEX. Bastian's comments on this topic were -almost- clear that the relationship was -still - a big deal. Still.

And what is this missive in response to?

Must be hard being so wise.

I love the rampant negativity on this forum. Your going to get a multi thousand dollar check in a few weeks and all you can find is the downside.

Try this for a diversion from your pessimism: calculate how many diapers can your profit sharing check buy?

No.

The calculation is, how many more diapers could he buy if we had a contract better reflecting the company's success and our leverage.

I just want to know... there are a few financial document gurus who could decipher the difference.

I try to keep a good balance of optimism and pessimism. ;)

I made 5000 dollars less in 2012 than in 2011! It was frustrating realizing how much less the profit sharing check will be in 2013 despite the payraise... that is all.
