OK, so a few AE questions (I know this has probably been covered back in the 800 page range BUT)...
What do I want to put in the AE for a category where I want a percentage qualifier? (e.g. I want to go to the 777B IF I'm going to be in the top 80%.) Do I put 80% in the percentage column OR 20%? Also I have reinstatement (like that's going to happen) "checked" do I also have to put the catagory in as an AE as well, or does the "check" cover it? Thx |

AE geniuses: please jump in. |
That's true...you can also put in that you want to be a regular line holder or not. Not as specific, but same sentiment.

Also, some people say it's better to estimate your own "regular" number (or percentage), because their "regular" is not guaranteed when it's all said and done. I don't know what they base theirs on, but some people bidding regular ended up... not. It might even be worthwhile to look at a category, see what number X does, and bid to be that guy. Put his number down (IOW, write "249" if he's 249th in category). It's like "Single White Female", but for pilots. Check their schedule a lot before you do it, too, then end up one senior to them, and bid exactly like them... |

Thanks! Appreciate the prompt answers!
Buzz you have any idea what percentage would be a safe regular on the 73N B in NYC? (Not that I have a chance in "H" "E" double hockey sticks of getting it!?) |

The majority of Delta dollars given out are never used. The redemption rate a few years ago was less then 25 percent. Kind of a scam on Delta's part. Years ago they gave out actual cash. Not the case today.

based on the last couple months' # of lines, 80% would be a solid bet
