Looks like Emperor Nemo had no ball$$. The non big snow event is sliding right by NYC.

Does anyone know how this works....? I have a 4 day coming up and after the first 2 legs, the LCA has an OE scheduled, so I'm off the trip. Is there some kind of time frame by which they have to assign me something else or send me home? (The second leg ends outside my domicile too).

I'm not sure that NYC is in the clear just yet. I'm off north and east of you in New England and we're getting heavy snow right now (Though sitting in front of my woodstove with a 12 pack of IPA chilling just outside on the deck is taking the sting out of the weather).

In any event, the system from the west and the Low from the south haven't fully combined yet. That low will sit off Nantucket and throw snow bands on shore overnight. Long island and southern CT are getting hammered right now and the winds are over 40kts in BOS. Before all is said and done, I think a lot of places will have close to 2ft of snow.

If NY misses the worst and the operation can reset and get on line quickly tomorrow, all the better....none of which makes your night in the crashpad any more enjoyable....go and treat yourself to some of Queen's finest Chinese Take-out

It was Leo and his underling, Fred Reid, who bought 600 RJ's, gave them to Com Air and ASA, to replace our narrow body flying.

Timbo, Actually Delta did furlough before Ron did it in 93. the difference they offered jobs in other areas. I flew with many in MSY who worked on the ramp. Everything else you stated was/is spot on.

Well...they had 'other jobs', not out on the street, so it's debatable if that's a furlough or what. I knew and flew with many of the guys hired in 1972 I think, who were "Reassigned" to the ramp for awhile.

If I were you, I would look up the LCA's phone number in DBMS and call him, now, and ask him if you should plan on booking a ride home or staying on the trip.
