But hey we got a big pay raise in record time. Time value vs money.

Ooooh. Good play. But do you get lumped in with the weekends crowd on Monday?

So things I've learned in this 744 discussion. I had no idea we have the first 744 ever made?

N661US?

This planespotters thing shows we own 5 of the oldest 11 744s of which, 3 of the 11 are not even flying and one is cargo. So we have all 3 of the oldest passenger 744s and 5 of the oldest 8 passenger 744s.

So what do we supposed the net gain in 744s would be? What would it have been if it had been a 773 order?

Did you know that hull number 6302 is then first hull in service? 6301, while having the honor of being the first produced, was kept as a Boeing test bed for 18 months, and Boeing paid us for the privilege of doing so...

There are only slight differences between 6301-6310, and 6311-6314. 15&16 are much newer, and are slightly improved still...

And if you are at the high end and fatigued, you are fatigued. If guys do what is right this will be self correcting. My guess is guys/and their spouses will like the sudden larger paychecks. Just like the ho's that fly max sched/max pickup every month. We are our own worst enemy and we wonder why we are not hiring:(

Yep, ftb... you can be at 79:59 on an ALV 82 month and get involuntarily taken for a 17:01 credit trip.

Popeyes. Don't plan on any "extras" like ATL though.

NERD,

Mi Amiga! As much as the Ho's try to "go over" our skeds are Baptist ministers and intolerant of ho'ing, if you catch my drift. I've found that I try to roll some thunder the whole month until it appears I'm going over, then I'm all Ho Chi Min City! But, Crew Scheduling would rather have their internet connections to EBay and Match.com shut down than to pay a pilot an extra buck.

Here is one thing for the ER class and other widebody pilots*, how much does it cost to cancel an international flight? Like to Lagos? It's worth it to have more than you need.

*widebody = wide airplane, not wide pilots.

It seems I have to call them to confirm this, that it isn't necessarily automatic, and then they'll place FULL on my schedule for the remaining days as a reminder.

Last time I tried to bring up contract reference with Crew Scheduling we ended up talking about whether President Lincoln really did emancipate the slaves because it is their position that they own our butts.

Not entirely true....... If someone had a yellow slip in then they could be assigned the trip. As a FO on an aircraft that flies ALV+ trips I didn't see crew scheds having a problem assigning these trips. We have too many guys wanting to fly in excess of ALV!

Bingo, that is why the Alv15 is not going to have a major impact. Most guys flew those trips anyway. Not to mention that the manning formula is unchanged from the prior contract.
